WorkTechJournal participates in affiliate programs. This page explains what that means, how we use affiliate links, and what effect — if any — they have on our editorial work.
What Affiliate Links Are
An affiliate link is a tracked URL. When you click one on this site and make a purchase, we receive a small commission from the seller at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or go directly to the seller’s website.
How We Use Them
WorkTechJournal uses affiliate links on product pages, comparison articles, picks, and review pages. Where affiliate links are present, they are the primary outbound links to tool websites and purchase pages.
Affiliate links are placed on tools we have already decided to cover editorially. We do not choose what to cover based on whether an affiliate program exists — the editorial decision comes first.
We do not use separate “sponsored” and “non-sponsored” versions of the same article. Every page has one editorial position.
What They Don’t Affect
Affiliate relationships do not determine which tools we cover, how we rate them, or what we recommend. This holds even when commission rates differ significantly between tools we’re comparing — a higher-paying program does not earn a better placement or a softer review.
Specifically:
– We do not accept payment to improve a tool’s rating or ranking
– We do not exclude tools from coverage because they lack an affiliate program
– We do not adjust editorial copy to favour tools we have commercial relationships with
– If a tool earns a poor rating after evaluation, it keeps that rating regardless of affiliate status
How to Identify Affiliate Links
We do not mark individual affiliate links with badges, footnotes, or asterisks on each page. This page serves as the site-wide disclosure, consistent with FTC guidelines on endorsements and testimonials. If you see a link to a third-party product or service on WorkTechJournal, assume it may be an affiliate link. If you prefer not to use an affiliate link, you can go directly to the tool’s website — every tool name mentioned in our articles is a reliable identifier for finding it.
